"Band of Brothers" By:Stephen Ambrose 9/22/10 Blog 3

How does the setting affect the mood in the book "Band of brothers"

The setting of the book "Band of Brothers" is very grim and dark in alot of places, but then in others they are bright and cheery. But most of the time its scarey and very dangerous for the men of the 101st airborn. The many of battles backs up the dangerous part but it is also very sad to hear what happened to them in the many places they went such as Holland, Normandy, and Berlin.

What are the characters motivation in the story Band of brothers?

The motivation of the men of of the 101st airborn is to end the war and get home to the familes in the United States. The men have seen so many horrid things and they are scared that they could die any day. The year was 1944 and there was still about 2 years of fighting left. The men got a little hope when they stumbled upon Hitler's Eagle Nest. This building was full of precious objects like gold fine food and liqour.
